I have a 1962 T-Bird with all original 390 engine and transmission. I have replaced the Radiator with an OEM new one, New Thermostat 160 degrees. New Thermostatic OEM fan, New water pump, Flushed system several times with STRONG Coolant to water ratio. Have added Wetter Water, One mechanic scammed me into getting the head shaved to stop overheating issues which did not work. 3600 dollars! After all this I am still over heating on very hot Florida days. Any suggestions?? Timing is spot on Thermostat changed several times even ran without ANY thermostat which did not work and still overheated. Shot up to 240 degrees the other day and blew out lower hose. Have had this beautiful car about 9 years now and I am limited to driving only short distances due to overheating. The fan shroud is fine. Running the heater on high helps keep it a bit cooler but will still overheat.
