1962 Removing the Grill without having to remove the Bumper?

I am on the struggle bus right now with trying to remove the grille on my 1962 Convertible.

Question: how do I get the grille out without removing the front bumper?
Or, if not, what's the best way to remove the bumper?

I believe you have to remove the bumper.
