Hello all.

These are the projects I will be working on for my 1962 Thunderbird. I would love any advice.

1. changing over to an alternator.

2. changing to electronic ignition.

3. resurrecting my factory air..

i’d appreciate your suggestions and the best places to buy the necessary parts.
Grateful. Kris

Just do your research here. most of the answers are here. Nothing is easy giving their age and pedigree.

Changing to an electronic ignition is a great idea. The Pertronix is an easy install. Getting your air conditioning back up and running may take a little more effort and most likely the help of a shop. Generator to alternator is not difficult either. I would suggest you check you local wrecking yard and get the alternator brackets, you can use them from any alternator equipped F/E engine.
