1957 manual seat bracket removal

Has anyone tried removing the seat track all together and bolted the seat right to the floor? I am a 6'4 fat boy and was thinking this may help. (1957 manual seat).

How do you even get into that thing Bigfoot. I am 5’9” and 165 lbs. and struggle to get behind the wheel. 57 birds were definitely a chick car. I heard a story once that John Wayne bought a 57 because he loved the look, but he never got to drive it because he could not fit into the seat. You sound more like a Caddy type of guy…
