1957 fuel door installation

Hi, Does any have a clue as to reinstalling the fuel door? Do the springs go on first? Seems the springs are in the way of trying to get the screws in to secure the hinge.

You may have solved this one already, but I recall the spring/hinge assembly goes in as a unit before the door bolts on. I used a very short and narrow screwdriver to install the assembly.
