I am looking for the schematic on 57 electric bench seat. I just found out that my car has a set up for electric seat but no motor or switches. The wires are there with two big electric boxes and the adjusting rod. Would like to put it back together.

A nice find. It can be a complicated affair ( from what I've read ). I'm sure the missing stuff was because a previous owner didn't want to deal with it. Search these threads and also check the similar threads referenced just after the original question. It's very much discussed subject.

What's wrong with the Ford Thunderbird 55, 56, and 57 Electrical Equipment Installation Manual? My 55 has an electric seat (standard for 55, manual not an option), but I would prefer the simplicity of a manual seat. However, if your goal is to make your car as it came from the factory, I understand. My 55 has windshield washer nozzles; all other windshield washer equipment is missing, but not for long. My other option would be to remove the nozzles and have the holes filled, when the car is repainted. Once the windshield washer is installed, I doubt I'll use it (they make a mess).

I understand, I just replaced my manual pump but knowing it works is somehow soothing. When I get a compliment on how it looks, and I can reply back 'And everything works '.
Don't eliminate the washer nozzles. They are just a touch of the original 'Bling' and you can make them functional later instead of eliminating them permanently.

I have to agree with you. Not sure if its worth the trouble to repair the seat. I did not know it was configured for an electric seat until I pulled it out

Yes a nice find but it seeems like there were a lot of issues with the motors and relays. Might just put it back as was

Here is the information that you will need to reassemble the Dial-O-Matic 4-way seat on your car.

If the seat is where you want it, and you're the only driver, I would leave it as it is. If you think you might sell it some day/pass it onto a family member, you might want to start looking for replacement parts.

Neither my 2015 Rav4/2017 Ram 1500 has a power seat, and I don't miss it.
