I bought an E code with single 650 Holley. I have an Edelbrock 257 manifold that came with the car. Is there any alternative carbs. other than the "teapots"?
original 'E' code manifolds and carbs are basically unobtanium including the valley pan. These were often converted to single 4bbl carbs because the original teapots are notoriously complicated let alone duals. Do some sleuthing on here as many have changed intakes and carbs and good advice.

Check the pattern on the manifold, it may be for a standardized pattern. Then you really have choices.

I had that problem. My carbs disappeared by some PO. It had a miserable Holley and I was lucky to find a correct set, reasonably. I had Daytona Parts rebuild them and they are a lot of fun to drive now. I was amazed at the pick-up in an old car! I found the valley pan and fuel filter @ Carlisle for less than what most were asking for just 1 of the parts. Carlisle, Hershey and other major swaps meets would be your best bet to find the parts. Many had complete carb set-ups and they're always negotiable. I do refuse to pay what they want for just an air cleaner and these came with the carbs, so they'll do for now. I would really like to find the 56 air cleaner, as you can see the carbs with that one. I sold a set of L & M carbs w/ intake awhile back. Daytona parts said they can modify these to work as well, if you're not looking for "correct". They do modify the correct ones so the reducer ring inside will never break free. They said this was a major problem and once it comes loose, it destroys the engine. They pin it permanently in place.
