1956 wanders all over road

1956 peacock blue - just purchased last month - steering wanders all over road, from right to left - not much play in steering box - disc brakes on front when I bought it - any suggestions what is wrong will be greatly appreciated

Upper and lower ball joints. Upper and lower control arm bushings. Tie rod ends. Wheel bearings. Check the idler arm bushings first. If power steering make sure the rubbers are intact. Steering box may need adjustment with all that in good shape should be fine with either Radial or Bias tires.
