I have my seat and frame out of my car. I have purchased 2 seat stop brackets. Where do they go? And do I need them? The seat doesn't go back very far as it is now.

Your title "T Bird. Seat stops. " has been revised to summarize your post. Also, since we are an all Ford Thunderbird site, you can omit the model of your car from future posts.

Since your seat and frame are out of the car, the attached article describes how you can gain an additional inch + by performing a simple modification to the seat track/frame and the floor bracket.

Does this modification not apply to manual seats?

I might be wrong but I don't think you could do this modification on a car with manual seats, because after the modification the seat track would extend beyond the range of the locking mechanism.

Anyone know where I can get the bottom seat tracks/bracket to mount the 57 TB seat to? Right now mine just sits on the floorboard.
