I need the order and positioning of the seals for my 1956 Thunderbird power steering ram cylinder. Thanks in advance

Thanks for the response. When placing the seals in the cylinder I think the lip faces towards the pressure side. There are two seals one flexible, go's in first lip towards the rear of the cylinder, that a spacer then another hard seal with the lip facing towards the rear of the cylinder than brass washer and lock ring. Is this the correct positioning of the seals? ThanksThe power steering cylinder is easy to remove and rebuild. I purchased the rebuild kit from CASCO.

Since you will have the cylinder off be sure to replace the power steering cylinder bushings also.

A spring-loaded lip type seal, a dust seal and a scraper are installed in the rod end of the cylinder, and are held in place by a snap ring. When installing the spring-loaded lip type seal, the lip faces towards the cylinder which is the pressure side.
