1956 Edelbrock electric fuel pump problem

The eccentric hex head is a 5/8”. I was able to get a Craftmans thin open end on the hex head and found it to be tight.
I haven’t set the #1 to TDC, but I’ve installed more mechanical fuel pumps than Incan count, so I’m 99.9% sure I had it installed in the correct location under the eccentric.
This is the 3rd pump I’ve installed that has failed. I did purchase the electric pump from CASCO and will install it according to their instructions. In addition, I have the original mechanical pump that I will be sending to Arthur Gould Rebuilding next week to be completely gone though and completely updated. I’m optimistic that this will put these fuel delivery issues behind me for good. FINALLY!
