1956 Brake Power Booster

Does anyone know if the 1956 Thunderbird with a brake power booster was originally plumbed to the rear brakes with a second line from the master cylinder to the front brakes?

Thank you Ron. That’s exactly how I thought they were before I had a shop add front disc brakes and a dual reservoir. They ran the large reservoir bowl to the power brake booster and from there to the rear brakes. A separate line ran from the small reservoir bowl directly to the front brakes. This was a number of years (10) years ago and believed what they said about the hard pedal being normal for disc brakes on front. The brakes prior to that were great for stopping and did not require nearly the pedal pressure.
I am now retired and do all my own work. I just rebuilt the brake power booster and adding a Casco combination (proportioning) valve. I’m replacing all brake lines with the intention of running a line from the large reservoir bowl directly to the proportioning valve, front input, to the brake power booster and then to the front disc brakes. The second line is going to run from the small reservoir bowl to the rear proportioning valve input, then to the rear drum brakes. I’ve been studying this method quite a bit but have not seen similar installs. I have my fingers crossed and hope to have the project completed by next week.
 
Not knowing if you are at a high elevation but if you are I wrote a bit about adding a vacuum pump which helped a great deal with the required pedal pressure. I'm in Utah so here I only had 14 in hg and with the pump it runs at 20 so the force went from 7 psi to 10 psi a 40% increase. The Ford booster is very small so it's hard to get a lot of force from the unit.
