I have a new clear plastic cover , chrome dome and medallion that I want to put on a horn ring. I practiced the clear plastic cover off on a old horn ring but the "chrome" clip tabs broke off when I tried to remove them. Does anyone have tip on how to put that clear plastic on?
I used a screwdriver to try and pop tabs off but they broke.

Two part epoxy. I had my chrome guy do a little extra brazing to the tabs so they would bend back under. One side he replicated. Hell with the money they charge the should do it for free.

Also, I didn't mean to disgruntled any chrome guys. They make parts look amazing. I done all my stainless myself, and there's no way I would charge less than they do. We should probably have a thread about polishing stainless. It's nothing but work.
