Has anyone successfully found a dry filter that will fit in the old oil type air filter for a 55 without buying any other parts? If so what type is it?

Here is one way that uses the original housing and a Wix filter:

Today I got a paper filter to fit the original oil bath first you have to pry the top off at the fold. Thin screwdriver and pliers, I got a filter from Napa # 22101 Pro Select about 6.00. You'll have to unscrew the stud and I used 5 washers on the top of carb for spacers. Worked out great!! The part with the birds nest I'm saving in case I sell the car and the new owner wants to convert to original oil bath.
