I have been using the $20. battery tender from Eastwood on 3 cars short-term and 2 long-term for over 2 years w/excellent results. They even run them on sale for about $17. My cars would range from a 34 Chevy to 96 Grand Prix.

What’s the difference between a battery tender and a trickle charger?

I have a Battery Tender Plus that I bought at a car show for about $50.. had it for two years now and works great over the winter storage period.. it came with a couple hard wire connectors for the battery so all you need to do is plug in the Battery Tender to the a/c outlet and connect the lead from the battery supplied with the Battery Tender to the tender..

I believe they are the same thing. Both will maintain a battery's charge over long periods of inactivity.
