02's still sitting on local lot

With 04's scheduled to appear shortly the local dealer still
has 4-02's sitting out front as well as 03's. They get a blue
one every once in a while and sits for a month or so but
finally sells. The red, black are just sitting. Summer appears
to have done nothing here to spark sales, but than driving
topless in 90+ temperature may not look appealing. The
dealership where service the car had a slew of 03's several
months ago but haven't been back so ??? if has sold many.

know in some part of the country the economy has slowed but
not here, home sales are booming and not lacking in seeing
new cars on the road. So they can't point that as a reason
in low T-bird sales.

The local is building a new dealership, at the rate t-birds
are stacking up he's going to need the extra room for
display. Whole front is full now !

deep deep south. hot, high humidity. Only time
really comfortable for top down is late Oct - mid Dec
and Feb - April. This is truck/SUV country.
Surprised they haven't relocated the cars to another
region. That is if Ford would let them.

Can say 100% of the comments from people are, they like the
look, colors and about all have some remembrance of the
the original. They owned one or knew someone who did
but they don't want this model because they need more
space and practicality. Than they will turn around and say
the two seaters were the only true T-birds ????? So
Ford will mess with it again, make a 4 seater, then they
won't like it because it has the rear seat.

The start-up problems are still hovering over. Most ask
about the heating problem, rattles, top, and recalls. Since
ours is seldom used, no problem so far. Tell that problems
on the forum are few but that is a small percentage of
owners so don't really know how they are doing.
