Wire wheels

Has anyone considered replacing the Ford stock wheels with wire wheels?. If so is there a source for the correct size wheels? Or is this going too far toward nostalgia?

A good topic! I'm waiting for the company that makes the reproduction Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels which were on the 1962 through 1964 T-birds to come out with a wheel for the new T-Birds. I don't know who reproduces them but the reproduction ones on my '62 T-bird look exactly as the original factory documented wheels (with KH stampings) that are on my 1964 with the exception of the number of spokes.
