Trunk struts

My trunk slams shut. Are the two pressure struts supposed to cushion on opening, closing or both?

HI, my wife noticed my trunk shut too quickly and didn't stay up too well I got the trunk struts and hood struts online. Easy to install, takes about ten minutes.

Wind blew the trunk strut on my hand. Owe. Going to replace them ASAP.

Both, I'm pretty sure. Any good auto supply store should have replacements. Good luck.

My trunk is closing on its own when the weather is warm. It's hit me in the head a few times which is not a vital organ. I just ordered a pair of trunk struts

It was amazing how much they helped. They both keep the hood/trunk from opening too fast and requires some effort to get them closed. Safe on your fingers and head!
