I was setting at a red light and manualy shifted the transmittion to 1st gear. The indicator on the dash showed 1st. but the transmittion locked down as though it was in park the car would not roll and the motor would rev up. Shifted to 2nd and all was normal. shifted to 5th and it worked fine. any one had this happen. as allways thanks in advance for any help. 2002 Bird. George B
