Soft top latch assembly replacement tips on a 2002

I am buying an OEM soft top latch assembly for my 2002.I can't seem to find any kind of how to ideas online.Is this something that someone with some mechanical ability can do or do I need a Pro?

Very simple. Lower the top about halfway down. Use a short 2x2 to keep the from closing. You can access and replace the bushings and spring. Search this forum. I uploaded photos in this thread- https://forums.fordthunderbirdforum...rd-convertible-top-pivot-arm.5203/#post-37824

Thanks. Ive gone that far. I am replacing the whole assy. Handle and rods.
