Replacement 1956 date decal

decal set for my 56 came with a yellow decal MAR 23 1956. My question: Car built 1/11/1956, where can I find the correct decal for my car?

Aren't the date codes embossed? Just cut out the date portion before applying.

I'm talking about the decal date portion. It's probably a template decal and not made date specific.

He's talking about this, and they're all the same from all the vendors. You'll have to get your own printed up somehow/somewhere if you want a different date.

BTW, what do the numbers in the QC checks mean? A Department code, a particular inspector's number, what?

I believe the answer is going to be no, there are no other Tbird parts vendors out there who will have (or can make) anything to help you out. You'll probably have to find another source of custom decals and place a one-off order through them.

You could have a rubber stamp made with the date of your choice and dip it in yellow paint.
