Power Windows 66 Thunderbird Convertible running slow

The rear windows in my 66 convertible are running extremely slow , there is plenty of voltage to the motors but they go up slow and then stop about 3/4 of the way up.
Do you think the motors need replacing?

No. Motors are always the first suspects and almost never the culprits. The quarters (rear windows) suffer from voltage drops, spring assist issues/mistakes, and lube issues. Let me help by helping you diagnose this. Did they always perform slowly or did they get worse than they used to be?
 
Next question, you wrote “plenty of voltage”. Are you measuring volts right at the motor itself (if not, where?) and, how many volts are you getting?

dried up grease in the gears. its a pain in the butt, but if you pull the motors and out and soak the gears in carb cleaner and get all of the old dried up grease out and regrease they should work like new

you can test them before reinstalling them

Didn't measure at the motor, I was assuming enough volts because of a new battery wasn't thinking of the blockages in between

Voltage drop occurs between your relay and the motor, and with resistance happening due to corrosion at all the bullet connectors, bulkhead connector, switch contacts, and etching inside the insulation of the old wires, your volts getting to the motors is probably gonna be down around 9-10. Combine that with dried lithium grease in the regulator, and time, you’ve got your work cut out for you.

Quarter regulators are a pain. But, cleaning and re-lubing is straightforward. About electric issues...get a schematic (think it’s in the 66 manual). Locate and clean every wire connector and all the switch assemblies. Make em shine. As a modification, consider beefing up the main lead from the relay to the main switch assembly.

The wiring harness Ford designed for this circuit was barely rated for the demand on roll out and now it’s 55 years old and corroded. That plus hardened grease is the problem. I can testify with some hard work these windows can really fly again. Good luck.
