I changed the outer door handle today and what a pain!! after about 4 hours, I had a brilliant idea, I took a hole saw and cut a 2/12 hole on the inner door right behind where the rod goes in to the handle, this allowed me to see what I was doing and made the job a million times easier, the inner door panel covers it, so nobody will ever know

This was the great idea which you sudden get and make your job easier. In some cases it become complex to change the handle yourself when you are unable to see what is going in the inner side. The 2/12 hole really allow you to understand it what are you doing and complete the job effectively. Great tip.
