Newie! I stripped the vynil top off my 63 landua.

I found a billion little nails across the front of the roof holding down the vynil. I'm guessing it's factory, as the car is an original rust bucket. How do ya'll deal with those nails? Pull them out? Weld them in? Filler over them? I won't be reinstalling the vynil. Thanks!!!
