Can't seem to find any direct information on what model or size Motorcraft battery would work best for a 1963 FE390 with a generator.

How is it a 63 with a generator?
And
The largest battery that will fit in the tray is the best bet.

1963 used a group 27 ford powerpunch battery.
If you use a factory hold down you want a group 27 size.

Alternators did not become standard on all Fords until 1965. I have had 3 '64s with generators and 3 '62s and 2 '61s. I have heard that the first Ford alternators were introduced on a '63 406. But were only used on special application in '63 and '64.

This is all helpful information. Thank you. There is a ton of space so figured biggest is best. I will eventually get the script power punch.
