The silver on my 2002 interior door handles has started to peel back and has become very sharp. Any suggestions on repair or replacement?

If you have the extended warranty, I believe Ford will replace it

My handles did the same so I ordered replacements from my local Ford dealer. The order is in and they say it is a 3 hour job to replace them.
