Today began the tear down of my 390 FE a mechanic told me that I had zero compression in one of my cylinders and low compression in 2 others. I took off the intake manifold I found a lifter sitting on top of the valley pan. I also found 2 other lifters about to popp out. Has anybody else seen anything like this before? Could this be my potential issue? 1000003631.jpg

What do the push rods look like that came out of those holes?
If they are straight then they just pulled up when you removed the push rods. That looks pretty clean, but I am going to be you have some burnt valves.

With the push rods out you can now put compressed air into cylinders through spark plug threaded holes, you will have to make this tool to put air into cyl. All valves will be closed now if push rods are out and compressed air will escape from bad points, be it intake or exhaust valve, or piston rings or a hole in piston. 74 Harley is correct inspect push rods for straightness
