I think the fuel pump is bad, I applied 12 volts directly to the Green/yellow wire at the switch in the trunk and I still get no fuel, can I install an electric fuel pump under the hood instead of replacing the one in the tank? or will it not draw fuel through the old one?

Replace the one in the tank, some cars have a hole under the back seat to access the top of the gas tank where the fuel pump in the tank is or you can make a hole lol

I had to do the same thing. I got my new pump for like 90 bucks. Remove the exhaust and drop the tank. Easiest way I found to do it. Just drain the tank before dropping it.
