Everything except AC (needs R12 recharge)
AC systems are closed and do not need "recharged". This means there is an underlying problem causing a leak which can be as simple as an o-Ring or as serious as a leaking compressor or Evaporator which are both costly repairs.

?The compressor runs but because I do not know if there is enough gas, I have left it alone.

Doesn't matter. If the compressor is leaking it would need replaced. If this was as simple as recharging the system, you and everyone else selling a used car of any age would have already done this. As noted, you have a leak somewhere could be simple could be costly.
