Engine Pull

Have a 1997 4.6L V8 Thunderbird. I know you're suppose to pull engine by dropping it out of the bottom. I was wondering if it is possible to pull the engine out the top. Has anyone ever tried this?

You can pull the engine out through the top. It has been done many times before.
