I am on the verge of purchasing a new 02 in Cal. (I'm in Texas for those interested) and I would like to know if these cars suffer in driveability or in the horsepower department compared with models avail. in other states.

I was told that the engine is a 50 state engine. Unlike the past when there were California cars and 49 state cars. John
