Has anyone ever used an after market expansion tank to replace the original parts tank. The original tank has a crack on the seam and has begun to leak fluid. Original parts are ~$300, and since I'm new at this, I was wondering how an after market part would fit, and or preform.

I have seen people on various forums or perhaps facebook groups that have upgraded to the stainless tank. Have not heard of any issues. I do know that the factory style tank is prone to leakage. If I replace mine it will be with the stainless tank. Here is a link to one I found by Googling. Jegs, has it also for more money. http://fcrcmachine.com/new-champion...428-fairlane-thunderbird-edsel-cobra-cc64glt/

AKflyer, stainless is usually good for about everything, less prone to failure. Thanks for the link, I may give this a try.
