A/C refrigerant for '93 SC

What type of refrigerant do you all use for your '93 SCs? The A/C in my car is not very cold but I don't know if it's ok to use a retrofit kit from Advance Auto. It drains the R12 and fills it with R134a. Any advice or suggestions?
