'66 Stock Wheel Colour

might be a silly question, but I'm new to ownership of my t-bird.

I have a '66 and while the wheels are now black, the previous owner indicated at one time they were red.

What would have been stock?

Back in those days dern near all wheels were black as they used hubcaps unless they were mags.
