Hi all.

Installed a rebuilt booster and new master cylinder on a 66, all as original. Previously put new lines throughout, rebuilt calipers and original drums in rear with new rear cylinders. Brakes were fine until booster and cylinder change. After the booster and cylinder change, the brakes are too aggressive. A light touch on the pedal jerks you forward in the seat. Any ideas?

there is an adjustment on the rod going into booster from m/c. you can turn it in a little to change brake pedal pressure

Another possibility may be the rear brake shoes if you changed those out. After market brake shoes (like Centric) are bonded and can grab and cause chattering. OE brake shoes are riveted and the front (leading) and rear (trailing) shoes are made of different lining materials. Maybe for some reason this issue didn't show up until you rebuilt the booster and changed the MC.
