Has anyone replaced the original or after market antenna with an electric one. I picked up 3 or 4 electric antennas from Lincoln cars years ago and now want to install one.

Yes, I did this 15 years ago. I used the original fender mount base and hardware, ran the power antenna unit through it. I removed the top door draft plate, mounted the power unit inside the fender and wired it to the new retro-style radio so it goes up when I start the car, down when I turn the car off or it can be turned on and off with the radio knob. Looks original!
