64 flairbird window motor installation

64 Flairbird. Put new window motors in few months back .
Passinger window goes down not up,pulled motor hooked to battery motor works both ways using gator clips and battery what should I be checking next?? Have power at switch on black wire which i thought was ground wire and shouldn't be hot, any electric incline pepole have a clue what I should do thanks for input never dull moment restoring my bird

Had similar on my 62 but I'd used a motor from a 64. On testing the same as yourself it worked but when fitted, it only operated one way. Found a fractured wire on the casing of the motor, it was hard to see due to the black rubber type coating. Think that coating was holding the wires together!
