I am new the the Forum, I bought my '59 in Jan '18, my first classic Thunderbird.
Simply a wonderful car, with two issues, brakes and steering.

I want convert to front power disk from manual drum brakes.

Every brake supply vendor wants to know the bearing flange style LARGE, SMALL, NEW are the options.

No one can tell how to determine the flange on my Tbird.

Help please!
Thank you David

Sorry don't know this but was told on my 62 that the 14" wheels would not fit with the disc conversion and I would have to go with a 15" rim. You may know this but thought to mention.

Thank you.

I have found front and rear conversions at carid.com for 14 inch wheels.
Master Power Brakes Legend Series. Conversion Kit (DB1532P)
Ordered Saturday, told it would ship tomorrow. Arrive Thursday or Friday .

The flange size is for the brake KIT not the car. Small 14 inch wheels, large 15 and up.

http://my.justanswer.com/ was very helpful.

I bought front and rear from classic disk brakes .com for my 61. Will never buy from them again.
Horrible service, lousy communications, never return calls or emails ,
"will ship tomorrow" week after week, partial shipments.
UPS is delivering a package today, hopefully it will contain the last of my order.
My 61 convertible has been on Jack stands for 6 weeks waiting parts.
