Hi. I bought a 59 last summer with the 352 engine. Although the service manual shows oil capacity of 6.5 quarts, the dipstick shows full at 5 quarts. I read somewhere about possible wrong dipsticks, but I can’t locate the article. Does this ring a bell with anyone? Thanks!

After seeing your post I went to my 59 Thunderbird Service Manual and at the end of the engine section, in Specifications, the oil pan capacity is 5 quarts plus a note to add an extra quart when changing filter.
