Any way to check if a rear end is original? What gear ratio's were standard for an automatic? And mine is leaking at the pinion. Can the seal be replaced with the pinion in the car?

if it has a removable panel on the backside, it is probably original. The gear ratio for the automatic is 3:31. Yes, you can replace the pinion seal without removing the pinion from the car. You need to take off the pinion yoke and then remove the seal.
