55 seat back removal

Help.....Just removed seat from my 55 and want to separate the back from the cushion. Looks like it pries aweay at the pivot points but not sure and dont want to ruin something...need advice.

On my '56 that is how I separated the back from the bottom, prying the tangs off the pivot points. Did one side then the other.

Thanks for the reply; looked like that was the only way and I didn't want to risk ruining the seat cover if I was wrong. Much appreciate the assistance.
