my 55 T-Bird has been in the family for 71 years with 39,026 original miles driven to date – per the data plate, it was manufactured on December 27, 1954, and the production code reveals it was a Home Office car. I am looking for any historians who might have documentation as to my car’s specific Ford internal use history or any sister vehicles. I understand that the original factory invoice is likely not available for this early build car. It would be interesting to determine if the vehicle sequence number, 128858, falls into a known, documented block of vehicles – such as for a specific regional promotional tour, engineering evaluation vehicles, or a batch delivered to a specific division of Ford executives.
