55 bumper guard spacers what is sequence to install

I am putting my 55 bumpers together after being on shelf for a year and can't remember how the spacers go in the guard and bumper can one of you help a brother out?

I just took mine apart to have them re-chromed. I would guess the wedge needs to go toward the bumper with the flat side facing the bumper guard.
