That’s part of the EGR valve, either it’s bad or plugged up through the the lower part of the intake manifold

There have been 6 reported causes of P0400, Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Flow Malfunction:

• Vacuum Line
• Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Connector
• Powertrain Control Module
• Mass Air Flow Sensor
• Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve
• Vacuum Hose

Here is the location of the EGR valve on the engine.



Follow steps 1 through 4 to remove the EGR valve.

Thank you gentlemen. I have the DVD but my player no work. Your help is appreciated. The BD fix suggested the afore mentioned sensor and I purchased the one indicated from Amazon ($14.95) but can't locate it in the bay or on the engine.
