2004 fuel gauge not working after pump replacement

Replace the main pump with new Delphi. Added 8 gallons of gas, the gauge showed close to half tank, went for a ride then quit working. Ohms reading on left side jet pump 15.5 right side 19.5.

Appears to have been the jet pump sending unit. Removed it and cleaned contacts. Now everything's OK.
