2003 Oxygen sensor replacement

Has anyone changed the oxygen sensors. Have 2003 Ford Thunderbird and confused about which ones to buy for upstream and downstream. Motorcraft OEM DY1401 and DY1039. Some sites say universal that 1401 can be used for both upstream and downstream. Please let me know if you have changed yours and what brand and part number.
