My 2003 TB had the trouble wrench on, no throttle pedal action, and was rough idle at 1,100 RPM.
The problem is the electrical plug connector "lock" was broken and the wire plug backed off the Idle Air Control connection. The OBDII showed code P505.
When I went online to find a new Pig-tail connector online I could not find the correct one. I called O'Reilly Auto and they said they had one. When I had them open the box it was not the correct connector.
Back to finding one online, I could not find the correct one. So I went to look for the Idle Air Control part itself. I found it for a 2003 TB but it was not the same part as on my engine. I went to three different sites and they all showed the wrong part.
When I looked it up for 2004 and there was NONE shown for Idle Air Control, you have to buy the entire Throttle body. The 2003 has the same part as a 2004. And there is NO listing of an Idle Air Control so there is no electrical connector listed.
I found this site for Motorcraft Wiring Pigtail Kits; https://www.motorcraft.com/content/.../wire_sets_wiring/18376-Pigtail-Book-2016.pdf
It shows pictures of all the connectors by the number of cavities, 1, 2, 3, ect.
The part number for the Connector is
I called my Ford dealer and they had one for $55. So I put a very long nylon tie strap around the loose electrical connector and the throttle body and ordered the part from Ebay.
