I have a 2002 Thunderbird and my battery went dead. Since my car is 11 years old I would like to purchase a new battery. Can someone tell me what the original Motorcraft battery number is ? I have it narrowed down to 4 different part numbers, but I do not know what the numbers mean. I would like to keep it all original.
They are the following: BXT-65-750, BXT-65-850, BXT-66-650, BXT-66-750

Wes I had never heard of the prefix 65. It was always a prefix of 66. Anyway, maybe this will help explain.

One owner said: "I went to my local Ford dealer Saturday morning. I gave the parts man the Battery part number of BXT-66-650. He looked it up, and said that Ford now makes that battery with 750 cold cranking amps as well, the part number is BXT-66-750. He said they stopped ordering the 650 because the 750 was a better battery, and was the same price of $109.95. After talking with him awhile, he discounted the battery to $94.95, since I am a "preferred customer"
