2002 Rear Trunk Decklid Emblem Variation

The rear T-Bird emblem on my '02 has the extended wings angled slightly upwards, where all other have the wings straight and parallel with the truck line. See picture. Is my totally unique? All pictures I find on the internet show straight winged emblems.

As you are already aware from the social media replies on your post there, this is not the emblem that came from the factory. Does your car history show any wrecks or collisions? Was probably replaced with the emblem for the front of the car. What does your front emblem look like? Post a photo of it.

I should have told all that I bought my Thunderbird new from a Ford dealership in Hollywood, Florida in the August of 2002. It was never in an accident, so the trunk lid is as it was when I bought it. I am the sole owner. Per the door tag, it was manufacturer in 08/02. I found a picture I took of this car at the dealership before I drove it home and the rear emblem wings are angled up.

As you can see above from part numbers, they simply put the front bumper emblem on the trunk deck. Maybe they ran out and did it on purpose at the factory to get it shipped. These were in very high demand at that time.
