I noticed when sitting at a light, sometimes my car would begin to “creep” forward (700 rpm idle in gear) when I was sitting there, holding it stopped with the brakes. I’d push on the brake pedal harder and it would stop. Then I noticed how hard the pedal was getting. It’s like I loose the vacuum and then if I rev it, I’ll get it back. Where should I look first?
TIA

A few things could cause this condition as you described it, from easy to difficult, 1. the vac. check valve located on the brake booster, 2. the master cyl., 3. the brake booster itself, 4. leaking brake line or faulty caliper (these would probably show in losing brake fluid), 5. faulty torque converter...............that's all I can think of off hand..............
